The 1210 sits fairly flat (the dimensions are available in the product description) and comes with a stylish piggy-back battery that lasts several hours. It has excellent picture quality which is an advantage to its' 7" size monitor, which makes viewing movies or favorite show easy, also an advantage is the quality of sound it produces, just the right quality not too loud yet not too soft. This is a VERY cool portable DVD player. I purchased one of these to have something to watch movies on while going on long trips, and it was a very wise purchase.
