Guitar Hero 3 is so much more animated and lively than the two games before. You can still do face-offs, but you can also play as a team and share the notes. Making your own band name up and winning the money is also fun, because you get to shop in the stores for different outfits, guitars, songs, etc...The songs are more fun, there is more(a whole bunch of bonus tracks) and overall the improvements were a big plus. ...like the user interface of Guitar Hero III better, however, the music in II is better. I really like the classic rock songs, but it is nice to have a mix of more modern music. I think that it would be cool to have had more characters to choose from and better outfits for both games. It is a nice break from the 'shoot em up' games. ...I'm not sure that the Dancing with the stars mat will work with other dancing games. I would advise that if you like a challenge and are a great dancer then you might really love this game.
