The steelers are an american league team from pennsylvania that compete in the american football conference. They have been to the superbowl six times and have won five of them. THis is tied for the most ever with the san fransico 49ers and dallas cowboys. They had had one of the biggest rivalries with the former cleavland browns know as the ravens. They have become rivals with the current browns and also the bengals. THe cowboys are also a big rival although there is not guarantee of they playing every year.
The steelers have always been know for their defense. Even with bad teams, they have been ranked high in defense. Their defense was so good during their first four superbowls that their defensive line and to a degree entire defense was dubbed the "steele curtain" implying that nothing gets by them. Twenty two steelers are in the hall of fame.
