Manufacturer's product description
Can't decide between a new CD changer and a CD recorder? Now you don't have to! Pioneer's PDRW739 gives you the best of both worlds by combining a 3-disc CD changer with a single disc CD recorder, all in one chassis. Digital source Synchro recording simplifies the recording process, and the built-in sampling rate converter allows direct recording from a wide variety of digital sources. You can even adjust the recording level during direct digital-to-digital dubbing thanks to the digital Rec volume, ensuring uniform output level on the CD-R/RW. Record your own digital audio compact discs (CD-R or CD-RW) that can then be played back like a factory-produced CD. Make digital compilations of your favorite songs and music, directly record live music, archive and protect your LP collection, or come up with your own reasons. Digital copy modes on the PDRW739 include: Disc copy, which lets you record all the tracks from any one disc loaded in a tray; Track copy mode is for recording one track from one disc in tray 1, 2, or 3; Program copy mode is for recording tracks from any disc in any tray in a user-programmed sequence. Additionally, you can select either normal or double speed recording, even while using these special editing modes. Digital source Synchro recording makes flawless recording easy, even on write-once CD-R discs. Simply set one of three digital Synchro-recording modes - 1-track Sync recording, All-track Sync recording, and Finalize Sync recording (for a succession of tracks) - start source playback, then stop the disc upon completion of recording. Sampling rate converter allows direct recording from digital sources sampled within the 10-51kHz-frequency range by converting them directly into sound data at the 44.1kHz sampling frequency standard for CDs. This function is not applied to sources sampled at 44.1kHz, such as HDCDs and DTS CDs, allowing the PDRW739 to copy all data completely, unlike many conventional CD recorders. Erase functions for CD-RW include: last-track erase mode, which erases the last track recorded, all-track erase mode, which erases all tracks, multi-track erase mode, which erases multiple tracks simultaneously, disc erase mode, which erases all data, and TOC erase mode, which restores a disc to its condition before Finalize function is set. You can also use the full-function remote to select a track directly with the numeric keypad.
