Advantages clarity, huge screen area
Disadvantages expensive

...I bought a flat screen monitor mostly because they look so much better. I have been so impressed with the colour quality and the visible viewing area. It is only a 15 inch screen but appears much bigger. I can happily watch DVD films on it with better quality picture than our 28 inch TV. Picture on this monitor is so sharp, has an auto feature to get best possible picture. Flat screen monitors are still pricey but if you spend a lot of time in front of your monitor it's worth it....
