This DVD/VCR was a birthday present to me from my husband. I have a huge collection of VHS tapes, as well as stacks of DVD's, so I love having the combination of both in one unit.
With the remote I can turn it on, select VCR or DVD and play my tapes or DVD's. I can rewind, fast forward, or pause at the touch of a button. The VCR records, but I have not tried that feature yet. It appears to be pretty straightforward, though. The timer programmer can be set to record the program you select on a specific date and time. It will record one time only, daily or even weekly.
In DVD mode, you can zoom in on the picture, or you can repeat a scene over and over by pressing a button. That is pretty cool.
The menu allows you to set the date and time, as well as select the language (i.e. English, French, or Spanish).
I am extremely pleased with the quality of this product and I would recommend it to anyone buying a DVD/VCR player.
