Manufacturer's product description
The CDR822 is a separate unit designed and finished to fit neatly and elegantly with other Philips system units. Some 10 to 20% smaller than its predecessor (the CDR785), it features a carousel-style 3-CD Changer (with MP3-CD playback function) plus a full-function CD-Recorder unit. Thus, as well as flexible, state of the art recording, the CDR822 also delivers constant playback of up to 4 CDs! Users can also change two CDs while one is playing, making it more convenient to compile all your favorite tracks on one CD. With direct line, 4x double-speed recording and finalizing from the CD Changer, the CDR822 makes it simple, quick and convenient to make your own CDs, with absolutely no loss of sound quality. Automatic Level Control guarantees consistent playback volume from multi-source compilations. There is also a front-mounted port in which to plug a computer keyboard for simple inputting, editing and recording of CD text. The system plays both finalized and unfinalized CD-Recordable and CD-Rewritable disks containing either non-compressed or MP3 (compressed) music. Separate playback and recorder CD trays are easily distinguished by their different designs. Simplified recording buttons link to a clear, step-by-step display, which guides the user through CD-to-CD recording or multi-source compilation recording.
