K100D is equipped with the Pentax-developed Shake Reduction (SR), effectively reducing the flow-box camera, without the picture's, even in difficult conditions accepted, such as the use telephoto lens, the image is weak or at night without the flash of light, and long sun exposure the sceneries.

SR mechanism in the K100D is designed to ensure the flow of a CCD camera image sensor vertically and horizontally at high speed using magnetic force, while adjusting the speed varies depending on the cost for shipping the camera built-in sensor.
