Advantages: great singer and entertainer
Disadvantages: none

Peabo Bryson, known for his flowing, smooth voice, started his career in the 1960's as lead singer, for a group called "Alvin and the Upsetters". 1976, he recorded his first album, and he also signed up with Capital Records. This would be the opening in his door to fame. One song I personally like is "I Celebrate My Love For You". I have this on cassette and still to this day, listen to it. In 1992 He won a grammy for his debute song for the movie"Beauty ...
...Celine Dion . Another duet he preformed with Regina Bell for the song, "A Whole New World", gave him another grammy in 1993. Repeating a quote from an article, "Peabo Bryson was known as the soulful balladeer whose silky and powerful voice created hits that remain memorable today." ... Read review

...that propelled Celine's music into the mainstream both here and in the States, and although this cover adds little to the original version, Celine's powerful vocals seem to lend more emotion to the song than Jennifer Rush's original. Certainly, there are similarities between the arrangement of both versions, as the power of the arrangement and vocals gradually increases to an almost screaming crescendo. Dion's vocals are powerful, but sometimes almost shrill, and you can't help but feel that the song provided too little challenge for her to grapple vocally. Nonetheless, a strong opener to the album. Track 2 - film soundtrack number one - and a duet with Peabo Bryson for the theme to Beauty and The Beast. Not many people can remember this track as a Celine Dion song, and it couples the usual Disney- style arrangement with softer, mellower vocals... Read review

Disney's finest jewel
Review of Beauty And The Beast (Animated) by PDS1 taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Magical - it just captures something special
Disadvantages Not for everyone - you must be in touch with your inner child!

..., and all manner of living ornaments. Crazily entertaining for the kids, and for some adults! After a few scuffles and an escape attempt, Belle stands up to the Beast, and the pair realise they can learn much from each other. They dine together, read together and dance together; it seems, somehow, that a little light has shone back into the gloomy castle and restored some of its glory. There are some visually beautiful scenes, as Belle and the Beast play in the snowy grounds of the castle, but the heartstopper is the ballroom dance, with the Song as Old as Time - the Beauty and The Beast title track (re-hashed, commercialised and stripped of some of its heartrending beauty by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson). As they walk outside under the stars (once more, lovely attention to detail as we see a dramatic shooting star), the Beast realises... Read review

I can show you the world
Review of Aladdin DVD by kellyboy taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Characters, voicing
Disadvantages Soundtrack

...soundtrack, featuring such giants of the pop world as one Peabo Bryson – I can show you the world, indeed! But let’s not get too downhearted because Aladdin does have plenty of things to commend it – great action and animation, well realised characters, lots of reasonable humour and the huge vocal talents of the master performer Robin Williams, as the hippest genie ever. In fact, so huge is Williams’ mark on this film that at times it becomes the Genie Show. None of that is to the story’s detriment, however, and Williams’ off the wall playing ensures that the pace never lets up for one solitary second. The story is based, as you well know, on the old tales from Arabian Nights and has been worn precious thin by a thousand pantomimes and a hundred thousand childish cries of ‘He’s behind you...
