I don’t know about you but I find it really difficult having to decide on what to make for children’s parties, instead of the usual sausage rolls and sandwiches so while I was browsing through Amazon one day I came across this book by family circle that gives you ideas on party themes and recipes for that special occasion. I will run through all the different sections: First part of the book Gives you advice on planning a party like planning ahead, how many guests to invite? What sort of food to make? should you have prizes? As well as giving you some table decoration tips and all types of party games which I thought was really interesting as some of the games I never even heard of for e.g. MUSICAL MATS. ...I bought this book because my cousin used it for her child when she was a toddler. It is a very useful book esp if you rack your brains for ideas on what to cook for your little it has many recipies so you dont need to stick to the same thing all the time. I.e Sweet potatoe and Orange (She loves it) or Semolina with Pear (She adores it) Recipies like this would not even come into my head. There are some recipies that are a little bit difficult to do and time consuming but you can just ignore those. I also use the book as a reference as it tells you what kinds of foods your child should be eating and at what stage and how long you can freeze food for, all this being very essential as you want to protect your little one from harmful bacteria. I think people who can or cant cook would benefit from this book so go for it. ... Read review

...I love to do alot of outdoor parties and grilling, so I'm always open to a new drink recipe. The last party that I had at my house, I made margaritas. I was given this recipe by a friend and I was amazed at how easy it was. Even though it was easy and simple, these were some great margaritas. They go perfect with chips and salsa. This is what you will need: 4 cup(s) ice cubes 1/2 cup(s) tequila 1/2 cup(s) Cointreau (orange-flavored liqueur) 1/4 cup(s) fresh lime juice Instructions: In blender, combine ice, tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice and blend until mixture is smooth. This makes enough for about four glasses. I like to add a little triple sec and a little more tequila...that really gives these a big punch. ...I have been to many parties, and tasted many party foods. When I sample an extremely appetizing recipe, I am not shy to find out where the host (or hostess) bought it, or how they made it. I am always on the lookout for new ideas, expecially the easy ones! That is how I came upon this recipe. It is an easy one and makes a great finger food for your party! These are a cheese lover's delight. When you serve these, they will disappear. Ingredients: 1/2 lb. Sharp grated cheese 1 stick butter (melted) 1 cup plain flour 1/2 cup pecans 1 1/2 cup rice crispies dash cayenne pepper Directions: Mix first 3 ingredients into a dough. Add nuts and rice crispies.
