I'd previously had multiple versions of the Canon Powershot Elph line, and recently switched to this at the recommendation of my father. It met all of my criteria - small-ish point and shoot that had good zoom, rapid photo succession and at least 6 mpxls. I'm mostly shooting children, so it was important to me that I was able to zoom in on them quickly (for kids on the go) and to catch those little moments.
I've had the camera about two months and have been really impressed with the quality of the photos and ease of use. I particularly like the macro functionality. Battery life seems good so far, and I've yet to have to look any functions up in the manual.
