The DMR-E100HS features a built-in hard disk drive allowing consumers to store many hours of video. Being the industry's first, the DMR-E100 with a large capacity hard disk drive gives consumers the option of recording on either a DVD-RAM disc (up to 12 hours on a 9.4GB double-sided disc), DVD-R (up to 6 hours on a single-sided disc) disc or on the incorporated hard disk drive. Panasonic's DVD recorder is the best choice for consumers who want to edit home video and record their favorite TV programs and movies, and store them in the high-resolution DVD format. The DMR- E100HS features an SD Memory Card slot and a PC Card slot, which can accommodate an adapter for other common flash memory card formats. The DVD recorder can be used for storing and playing back digital video in MPEG2/ MPEG4 file formats and photos in JPEG / TIFF formats from a digital camera or a digital video camcorder with an SD Memory Card or a PCMCIA slot.
