...After years using PDAs, or personal organizers, Palm OS (and with any EPOC32), I reached the difficult decision to make the jump to version 5 operating system, but with a dilemma: the new multimedia functions to those that have These advanced cacharrillos undoubtedly pushed by the system of Microsoft Windows Mobile PDA's and who have graduated, I do not like at all ... both wasted megahertz was not what I was looking for ...
My previous machine was a Clié SJ30, with very good screen and a better performance but that was the problem that exhausted the battery lost all data (undoubtedly defect caused by an internal malfunction), and this is something that in my life I could not allow professional, and they have been doing almost all the models I've had (PalmIIIx, m105 and Treo90-it, to a lesser extent).

...Really sad that Palm Computing ha put down the production of the PalmIIIx. In the US you can get the IIIxe, but on our side of the world, we have to stick to the cheap IIIe or the expensive IIIc, or the Vx.
Anyway the IIIc should be the best organizer, which has ever been released. It is very handy and robust. If it falls down, from your desk or out of your hand, don't be afraid.
The PalmIIIx has got 4MB of Ram and 2MB of ROM(on which the Operating System is saved on).
It as a serial port to which any accesoire can be plugged on, e.g. a modem or a keyboard.
It's built-in programs include a date-book, a To-do list, a phone-list and a memopad.
All around it has got everything you need to suceed....

Advantages Small, Light, easy to use. Disadvantages Limited for more intense users
...The PalmIIIx isn't necessarily cutting edge when it comes to PDAs these days but it is certainly one of the most fun and easiest to use. Overall I'd have to say these are very useful machines, and at a nice price too!!...

Advantages Many flexable applications Disadvantages limited expandablity
...The PalmIIIxe, an excelent product for those on the go. Retailing for $380.00 (can), the PalmIIIxe offers 8mb of memory with an upgradable os. As a retailer of the product the objection I hear most is "how will I use 8mb of memory?". The concern revolves around the customer not wanting to purchase more than they can use. My response to these questions is "prepare for the future". As a person gets familiar with the applications of the Palm they will usally forey in to the other applications of their Palm. This is where the value comes apparent. The applications for the Palm are extensive. A person can use their Palm not only for personal and business applications, but for entertainment and convenience. A Palm Piolot can be a road map or a universal remote control. In conclusion, when buying consumer electronics try...
