It features a wide selection of manually adjustable parameters and versatile shooting modes. The E-20P benefits from the renowned Olympus optical quality. It incorporates an outstanding All-In-One optical system that is in exact tune with the camera body - an attribute that is of particular importance in digital models. The camera's exceptionally bright (F2.0/F2.4), 4x zoom lens (corresponds to 35-140 mm on a 35 mm camera) is composed of 14 multi-coated glass elements arranged in 11 groups. An ED and two aspherical elements help minimize color aberration and distortion. Two high index low dispersion lenses also heighten clarity. Outstanding focusing accuracy under virtually all conditions is assured by a dual autofocus system. While the single-beam, twin-sensor active infrared unit takes initial readings, the passive contrast detection system fine-tunes the focus. For super-fast adjustments, manual control of zoom and focus is afforded by two rings on the camera's lens.
