Nokia N78
Geotag your photos with this Nokia handset
A handset quite similar in terms of features and design to Nokia's N82, the latest addition to the N-Series introduces image geotagging and also boasts a convenient FM transmitter. The N78 is a standard candy-bar handset with a mostly gloss plastic build. It probably won't win any design awards, but the sleek front and rounded edges do look quite classy. The lightweight build makes this handset ... ...the front of this handset, Nokia has perplexingly opted for a squashed and tiny keypad. Although its tactility is fair, we simply can't understand the design. Avid SMS users will soon become frustrated by the tiny buttons, and the glossy surface of the keys makes it easy for your fingers to slip off them when trying to type at a fast pace. The dedicated multimedia key wedged between the five-way navigational pad and end key could have been avoided. ...

Advantages: Excellent feature set, Navi wheel,FM transmitter, GPS reciever built-in Disadvantages: Keys are small
N78 is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-fi , a superb music player and GPS. One thing i like about N78 is the Navi wheel. You access it by pressing the silver, rectangular button on the keypad which, in turn, presents you with frequently used applications like music, images, videos, games, maps, internet and your contacts. Each application will display useful information like the last image captured on your phone, the latest video added to ... ...others..It's a nice application that lets users go directly to their content without having to muck about in the S60 user interface.

Advantages: Elegant design, large screen and clear, good sound Disadvantages: The size of a small keypad
Design, the Nokia N78 is very different from the predecessor, N73. Target market of the middle class, N78 with a nuance of black present. Moreover, when the phone is in silent or standby position. There is no light at all the undergrowth. That there is only a body phone dark but visible expensive and exclusive. Four key directions we can follow the speed of entry to exit the menu. Advantages functionality, built in gps, fm transmitter, battery life, size Disadvantages slightly creaky keypad, back is a bit plasticky
...I got this phone around 2 months ago and have been very impressed. In terms of functionality it is hard to beat with inbuilt GPS and Nokia Maps, I downloaded Google Eearth which I find a little easier to use because it offers you an aerial view of wherever you are, infact Google Earth Mobile is probably one of the most useful tools on a mobile phone (after talking and texting), I use it to create routes, find shops/pubs/banks/campsites in the surrounding area and generally snoop about. Anyway I digress. I got this phone because it is smaller than the N95 8Gb and still packs most of the same functions. Camera is good- only 3.2Mp but a Carl Zeiss lens to pictures are of a high quality, video footage is really good also. Battery life is also good, I caharge it about once every 3-4 days and probably use the phone for about an hour a day...

Advantages weight, size, "breathing" light, Disadvantages shiny plastic, camera pictures
...Hi, my experience with this phone is about a month now, it is great phone with a lot to offer. It is made of plastic which makes it very lightweigh.
I've missed the signal light which would alert me about the new message/missed call(on Nokia) and this phone provides this integrated in its keyboard/control button. It also includes "breathing light".
Compared to older phones with GPS module(N95-usually takes ages) the start of SAT navigation is around 30sec average(satelites to lock position). The phone reactions are very quick. Typing a message is quick. The keyboard looks different as on other phones but it is not hard to get used to it. Text selection button(from previous Nokia phones)is integrated in # button.
Wireless LAN sensitivity is very good, I am able easily use browse the net around the house in the garden...

Manufacturer's product description
The Nokia N78 is designed to take advantage of the suite of Nokia services. The Nokia N78 packs a powerful range of technologies, including integrated A-GPS, with free Nokia Maps, WLAN and high-speed HSPDA 3G connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and support for microSD memory card, currently available at up to 8 GB, to store favorite music and media. The novelties of the N78 are geotagging of photos and an integrated FM transmitter that allows music to be played on any FM radio, in a car or at home. Taking advantage of its integrated A-GPS functionality and 3.2 megapixel camera, the Nokia N78 introduces the increasingly popular online practice of 'geotagging' to a Nokia device. The Nokia N78 automatically tags images with capture location metadata, making it possible to view the capture location on a map either on the device itself, or online. With its high-speed internet connectivity, over WLAN or HSDPA, uploading photos and videos to online communities like Share on Ovi, Flickr or YouTube is a single key stroke away. Music remains a core feature of the Nokia N78 and Nokia's range of N series multimedia computers. In addition to the up to 8 GB of memory, internal speakers and support for standard 3.5 mm headphones, the N78 also comes with Nokia Internet Radio, giving instant access to thousands of radio stations around the world.
