Advantages Good value, in-built torch, long battery life, weighs only 86g, easy to use Disadvantages None
...My network provider offered me £10 off a new phone as part of a reward scheme. I decided to use the credit straight away, so I took a look at the phones available on their website.
I did not want a phone with lots of features, so I looked for the best value phone they sold, which was the Nokia1101, for £14.99. With my £10 discount, this cost £4.99, which was a bargain. I have used the phone, but I mainly have it in case my other phone breaks, is lost, etc.
The phone has all of the basic features you would expect, including:
Text messaging (sms)
Vibrating alert
Stopwatch
Countdown timer
Alarm clock
WAP push
Games - Snake II and Space Impact+
Ring tone composer
High resolution black and white display - 95 x 65 pixels
Monophonic ringtones
Torch (on top of phone)
Xpress on covers (original cover has grips)
Weighs only...

Advantages Easy to use, flashlight Disadvantages none
...My mum's mobile (Motorola C520) was about 6 years old and on its last legs. So my dad asked me to get her a new phone for her birthday. His words were, "something cheap, not flashy, she only wants a phone".
My mum is a technophobe and only uses her mobile telephone for calling people. She always carries it when she is out in the car and that is about it!
So, online I go and start looking for a cheap mobile. No camera required, no bluetooth necessary, she wont want to play games and download ringtones. So where to start?
First of all I looked at Play.com as I know they have a range of mobiles. There I discovered the Nokia 1100. As I read about the features I thought it would be the perfect phone for my mum in the perfect price range. When I started to find it by searching Kelkoo they came up with the next model, the Nokia...

Advantages Many Features Including Text, Extras and Games Disadvantages Not Colour Just Black and White. A Bit Plain!
...The Nokia1101 is Grey/Silver in colour, has a sleek look to it and costs pretty little.
The cost is probably due to the fact that it is not colour and only has a Black and White interface. There is no camera on this phone but you can compose your own Nokia Ringtones. This phone is getting old but it does have some interesting features on it.
These features include:
Messages - standard text messages with inbox etc.
Contacts - place to store and keep all of your contacts
Call Register - registers calls
Tones - place to compose and listen to ringtones
Profiles - General, Silent, Loud and your own etc.
Settings - phone settings, security etc
Alarm Clock - sets the alarm
Reminders - reminds you to do things
Games - Classic Snake and Space Invaders
Extras - Calculator, Stopwatch, Countdown Timer, Screensaver
Services - Home...
