Ideal Sports / Press camera Review of Nikon D2H by imagecd taken from ciao.co.uk Advantages Rugged & Fast plus uses the Nikon System Disadvantages Weight (it's heavy) & lowish resolution ...The Nikon D2H is a very well built (if heavy) DSLR with access to much of the Nikon system. It is very rugged & easy to use. The hi speed frame advance is ideal for sports but some people may find the resolution limiting (the D2X solves that). On the whole this camera is great to use & feels comfortable to hold & produces respectable results. The Nikon D2H has a large clear screen to view images & logical buttons & dials & is built to last & put up with every day use & abuse. Dust can be a problem but that is no different to many other DSLR's and can be cleaned easilly with one of the kits available but you'll need the Nikon mains adapter to clean the sensor. If you are looking for a rugged DSLR & don't need high megapixels then this could be the camera for you.... Read review		somewhat helpful 1/23/2007
A good successor Review of Canon EOS 1D Mark II by richlinstead taken from ciao.co.uk Advantages Incredible Image quality, great look and feel, Disadvantages Fairly bulky, but otherwise excellent ...The EOS-1D Mark II is Canon's answer to Nikon's D2H camera, however Canon have improved resolution and feature an extremely low noise functionality using the same technology as featured in the previous EOS 1D. Excellent image resolution and increased buffer size make this a highly worthwhile next step and if you're thinking of purchasing for the first time then this becomes a really desirable option. SD slot and USB connector are interesting additions as they suggest potential add-ons and upgrades in the future. In all a good successor to the 1D with fantastic Image quality. As I mentioned, on the down-side this feels a little bulky, but that may just be a personal thing - though both this and the original retain that cult Canon cool look that screams Pro.... Best Nikon Flash I've used. Review of Nikon SB 800 Speedlight Hot-shoe clip-on flash by imagecd taken from ciao.co.uk Advantages Perfect for Nikon D2H, extra battery holder for faster recycling Disadvantages only for Nikon ...I use Nikon digital SLR's for work & we purchased some of these when we changed to Nikon D2H's. The SB 800 work extremely well with the D2H & gives the best results I've seen so far on a Nikon speedlight with a Digital SLR. The settings are logical & quick to adjust & the extra clip on battery holder speed recycling for the odd occasion you need a bit extra. We have had a couple repaired (one "feell off" the roofd of a moving car & only needed a new head fitting & the other had a component fault but they are used 7 days a week & are as reliable as any other gunn I've used. Basically if you use a Nikon DSLR, check out the SB 800 & put it on your short list. We've just bought another one.... Read review		somewhat helpful 1/23/2007
