Advantages: Uses AA batteries, wide angle lens Disadvantages: No shutter priority
The Nikon Coolpix P50 is pretty awesome! It runs on two "AA" batteries, takes pretty good quality picutres, lots of memory, and its easy to use. There are not that many cameras with a similar style and set of features to the Coolpix P50. The Coolpix P50 is a neat and tidy compact camera. It also has a grip on the front to help you hold the camera steady.
Some disadvantages where the shutter lag. I was able to take a single photo in 0.46 seconds ... ...single photo and 15.35 seconds for five.
I like the Nikon Coolpix P50. It offers fair value for money and is easy to use. It may not fit into a pocket, but I like the design and style of the camera. I would recommend this camera to a friend. ...

Manufacturer's product description
VR Electronic Image Stabilization takes camera movement data from a built-in angular velocity sensor and applies in-camera image processing to turn blurred images into beautifully clear results, on the spot or anytime later. Extended light sensitivity range of ISO 50 to ISO 2000 and the new image-processing engine's ability to preserve high image quality at high ISO settings provide new opportunities to shoot more effectively in lower lighting conditions. That's plenty of sharp resolution to capture the finest details, crop creatively and produce beautiful enlargements. Optimizing performance and color reproduction is an advanced new image processing engine. And the quality optics of a 28-102mm Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent) maximizes compositional freedom.
