The quality of the pictures that I have taken with my Nikon are great; the pictures are both sharp and clear. So far, none have come out blurry.
I purchased this camera to carry with me because my Blackberry doesn't come with one. I have a one year old son whom I take pictures of constantly, and this camera has never let me down. What's great is that I can switch from picture mode to video easily, so I don't miss out on capturing perfect stills.
In my experience, the Coolpix is also a relatively durable camera. Because I keep it in my diaper bag it has gotten wet from leaky sippy cups, dropped on the ground, and hit with toys and I still haven't had a problem of any kind.
