...The name Nikon should, if you are a user of the traditional 35mm camera instatlly give you an idea of the quality of this camera. And having now used a 950 for some 3 months and having taken close on to 2000 plus photos I can trulley say that the quality is there. Feature wise this camera has also every thing that you could want, the autofocus and flash are both very good and work under most conditions. In fact at a party it will take photo's in the dark and they came out in focus and bright! The only thing that I don't like is the serial port transfer system which on a 64mb card can take forever to transfer on to the computer. I understand that the new model due out soon in the UK will have a USB port so making transfers much quicker, with the price cut this camera( 950) is well worth the money and time to get to know.... ...My dept. at work have recently purchased the Nikon Coolpix 950, and I can honestly say it's not something we'll regret. The quality of the images is incredible, and even when printed off at A3 size, there's no distortion to the image. Features: * 2.11 milion pixel CDD for improved resolution (1600x1200, 1024x768 or 640x480). * 3 x Optical Zoom (38-115mm) glass Nikkor lens. * Macro mode to an amazing 2cm. * Manual focus (ten steps from 10cm to infinity). * Intelligent exposure metering. * 1.5 frames per second continuous mode - very handy for moving objects!! * Decent size 2" LCD monitor. * Best shot selector, so you don't have to waste valuable space.
