Advantages Everything - speed, compatability, support etc.
Disadvantages None

...Top of the Geforce2 range by a long long way, which came as standard in my top-of-the-range-at-the-time PC a couple years ago, and hasnt had a single problem since. Despite being superseded by both the Geforce3 and 4 models, it still manages to run all the latest games, while Nvidia continues to provide proper support and new/updated drivers from time to time. All in all a very fast card, which easily manages to run Quake III at 1600x1200 in 32bit colour without even the slightest hint of flicker. Only grumble is the TV-Out function, which only seems to work if connected directly to a TV (not to a video recorder etc) as the graphics card doesnt 'see' anything as being connected, although this chipset is used by so many different manufacturers so might not be a problem in all cases. ...As you may know 3DFX has gone bust! and its not surpising, the voodoo 5 hads the same chipset as the very fist voodoo!! all they did was increase the momory and add another chip!. the geeforce 2 GTS has been show in test after test to be way better than the voodoo 5 and the geforce 2 ultra. The ulta card (although its not cheap i paied £300) is the best graphics card on the market by far, its worth the money to run your desktop at a rediculosly high resolution ;) Hope this is helpfull... ...With the release of the gf3, this is a top card for anyone who is on a budget. I upgraded from a v3 to this card and quite frankly the increase in fps was a shock. Clocking up 300fps in q3 with only 256 ram and an 800 duron, this was super smooth and silky. The card was easy to install, even with the existence of an older card hanging about. The drivers on the cd will get you started and updated drivers are fairly small and easy to apply. The total process took 10 mins to do even with a pig of a case to install in like mine. It has overclocking options and guidelines included in teh software. The technical support online is so good that you will probably not even have to phone them. There are forums and reviews aplenty online and this card should lay to rest any doubts you were having over what to upgrade to next.... Read review
