Review of NETGEAR WGR614L Open Source Wireless-G Router - wireless router by darkestraven

Advantages: built in firewall, networking ability, wireless/hardwired
Disadvantages: some dead zones in basement

The Netgear router is the best router that I have had to date. I had previously went through 2 different routers before I had purchased this one, and let me say I should have purchased this one first. It has four ports in the back so that you can connect up to four computers on it and has wireless capabilities which I also use on it. I have 3 of my computers connected to it for networking and it works beautifully with relatively no signal problems. ...
...private (with a password to protect it) so everyone cannot access it which I find to be a great feature. Also the wireless function is good, but not the best. I can go to almost any place in my house with my laptop and it will be connected until I go into my basement where there is little if any connection.
