Again, this was first a birthday present for me and it was the only way of recieving broadband in our home. A wirless adaptor by the way is something that recieves wirless signal from a wireless router so you dont have to limit a modem to one computer, but can send out signals to those in the house around you, and this thing picks these signals up.
Allthough the wirless adaptor was not plug and play (but most adaptors aren't anyway) it had a clear and easy to fllow CD, which first gave you the system spesifications and showed if you actually met them or not and then continued atomatically to the setup screen. Only after this were the other options accesible on a menu screen. However it does not start the installation process again upon insertion of the disc in to the drive like some programmes and usually your main goal when you put a CD in to the computer for the first time you generally want to install the programme and not download some extras of the internet, but this option is still available after installation.
the actual device can recieve up to 54 megabytes per second(mbps) and has a very good connection and signal rate wherever you are in the house which prooves that the adaptor works through walls very well. However the only downside was that if you leave it plugged in to your computer when it is on 24 hours a day seven days a week (24/7) then it starts over heating which - after 5 years, caused my one to break down from overheating.
Overall the product is very good if you do not use the computer often but if you leave the computer on for 24/7 then you should seriously consider another adaptor.
