Advantages 3G fluffiness Disadvantages Badly designed throughout and no battery life
...I often find myself losing things down the sides of the sofa and chief amongst those is the television controller. And having received this phone for free after joining 3 I get double the remote hunting pleasure!
NEC are not really leaders in the field of mobile phones. Sure, they make lovely electrical goods but they should have left mobility to the big boys; to those with the experience of designing phones that are ergonomic and simple to get the hang of.
From the button layout where the keys for dial, hangup (cancel) and back up are set immediately above 1,2 and 3 without any difference in feel or look to the clunky contacts file system layout the phone clearly has been rushed out to cash in on the emergence of the third generation of mobile phones before Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and Motorola managed to appear on the scene.

Advantages Very cheap calls all day to any network Disadvantages Ridiculous call centres in Mumbai, rubbish handsets,
...606 as I thought it was the smallest and most attractive, but I have since heard that this is the most unreliable. The newer NEC616 (i think) is smaller and looks a bit less like a remotecontrol. I tried to upgrade my phone at the end of my contract, but then decided I wanted to change my contract, soI was swiftly informed I would have to pay a £50 upgrade charge. Nice.
It seems to me that 3 are not in fact that bothered about losing existing customers and just want to inherit new ones, which I think defeats the object really. When I called to say I was leaving 3, there was no offer of a smart new handset or a few free video calls or anything..
However if you want to join up on the month of June it is half price line rental, brand new snazzy LG phone and free texts for 6 months, great! When I got back in touch with customer services...

Advantages Decent Size, Smart, Fairly Feature Packed, Expandable Memory. Disadvantages Limited Connectivity, Looks May Not Appeal To Some, No Sound Recorder.
