Advantages: A lot of trick.. Disadvantages: Graphics not really good...
I played the game today and I must say that I was hooked on my console and you want to play more! This is a great series and Sony have done themselves justice for what the PSP to make the world proud.
Graphics
They are a little naive but to be honest, I've seen much worse, so it is not even going to debate this part. The players like the real superstars.
Game
As I said before the game will hooked you to your seat after playing this game. It was ... ...staggering, but still incredibly farfetched. Do not freeze at all and are a little more loadtimes but it is better than most games.
Overall
This game is well conceived and planned by the game and EA derserve a pat on the back of this. Not definetly thumbs up from me. Finally,if you want play basketball on the fly, without sweat! XD It is a good game, even if you do not like the ball should always try! Who knows what you want. ...

NBA Street Showdown for the Sony PSP is a street basketball sports game from EA. You play 3 on 3 in various courts with no real rules and lots of mad tricks. If you're looking for a perfect simulation of basketball this is not for you, however if you want a quick pick up and play fun sports game street style then this will keep you amused for a couple of weeks:
Graphics - great cartoon style fun graphics - not really realistic but very suiting to ... ...They move fast and no slowdown or stuttering when the action gets fast.
Gameplay - the gameplay is there but in my opinion not the best. It all feels a little random button pushing to steal the ball or pull off a trick. You can start a one-off game or choose a career type mode whereby you can build up your player stats, learn new tricks, and get new team mates and get new courts
Controls - as above the controls can feel a little bit random to pull ...

Advantages There are some great mini games and is similar to its console cousins! Disadvantages The controls can be awkward and not very responsive and the team rosters are old.
...If you're like me then you like a review that's short, direct and down to the point, so....
The game is definately a good try of bringing a massive franchise to a smaller system. It has many features of the bigger console game and the controls are more similar to Street V.2 than V.3.
The controls can be awkward, as you might expect from a console with less buttons but there is a good variety of tricks and skills to humiliate your opponents. These can however be complictaed to press and can also be slow and less responsive than you would expect.
There are several different modes including a career mode where you create your own baller, mini games mode with blocking and shooting games and there is also wireless play so you can show off your skills with your friends.
The sounds are great and include...

End to End ...
Review of NBAStreetShowdown (PSP) by

Advantages Street stars and NBA stars mix , Arcade games Disadvantages End to End gameplay, tackles to hard to do.
...NBAStreetShowdown is a game that is quite repetitive. When you are playing a match, it is usually just end to end, one team scores then the next team scores and so on. Also, when the other team has the ball, it is virtually impossible to 'steal' the ball from them and you have to be in the exact right place to block the ball and stop a point. This contributes to why it is end to end. Although, the game is not all bad as the idea of mixing real life NBA playes with fantasy street players is a good idea. Also the mini game that you can play instead of the king of the courts mode are quite entertaining and challenging at times. Hopefully this review will have helped you in some way....
