If you're strapped for cash, its perfect Review of Mustek DV 2000 by godofchicken taken from ciao.co.uk Advantages Great for its price Disadvantages Not the best quality DVCam ...Money... that's all anyone seems to care about these days. It's all about money and the latest gadgets. Fortunately, both of these combine in this small and handy digital video camera from Mustek! It's easy to use, and so small it's almost toylike, so you can easily fit the DV cam in a pocket, smaller still than a normal camera. It runs off USB, and takes still pictures as well as digital video with sound, at quite an impressive quality. For the same price, you will often only get a similar quality still digital camera! The memory with the camera is relatively small in terms of filming, a mere six minutes, but large in terms of pictures - at a recent gig I managed to get no less than 94 photos of the band, and about 60 of those were good quality. Disadvantages Poor picture quality and annoying menus. ...to do due to the fairly poor quality for such a pricey camera. It's quite a chunky camera as well, and eats batteries like a desperate acid addict. On the plus side, the zoom is quite handy, and it's nice to have a flash, but for a mere £80 (not £80 extra, just £80) you can buy a Mustek DV2000 digital video camera, with the same picture resolution and zoom, but with digital video capabilities as well, and it doesn't eat batteries at the same speed as this "little" fellow....
