The new A3 series is a perfect complement to Musical Fidelity's distinctively-styled X-Component range: while the latter leaves little room for criticism in the performance stakes, the unusual looks are a little strong for some tastes, so this collection of conventionally cased components is MF's answer. The A3 CD player is effectively the award-winning X-Ray in a different box. It shares the same quick-acting transport and Burr-Brown 24-bit DACs, but the larger A3 casewok allows MF to spread the circuitry more, further reducing electrical interference between components.
