The KitchenAid stand mixer is one of the best mulity use appliance ever made. I am wanting one for myself, but have used my mothers many many times. I love this mixer. I use it all the time. I just wish it were self cleaning. :-) It's light weight, the beaters are easy to insert. I don't have any extra attachments so I can't speak for the bread kneader. It's so easy to use that I let my kids turn it on for mixing. The glass bowls are very nice and sturdy.
