The keys to the outstanding performance of the BPS-Series lie in a combination of their superior discrete powered amplifier design and dual bass drivers, paired in a unique Bipolar configuration, eliminating cabinet vibration and transfer of low frequency energy to the floor - a major source of coloration in single driver subwoofers. In concert with Mirage Bipolar, Omnipolar or conventional loudspeakers, BPS subwoofers add dramatic new depth to any audio or home theater system, with bass so deep and distortion-free, you'll swear you're there. The flagship of the series, the BPS-400 features Mirage's revolutionary "PWM" (Pulse Width Modulation) technology elegantly housed in a solid MDF cabinet with high gloss black lacquer top trim. The subwoofer employs the Bipolar design featuring dual 12" (30 cm) woofers, a push-pull surround and a highly efficient 400-watt RMS "digital" amplifier. Capable of an outstanding 125dB output at 18Hz, the BPS-400 is the ideal home theater or high-demand music subwoofer. When used with the LFX-3 crossover, easy armchair adjustment of the subwoofer can be conveniently made from the listening position.
