Manufacturer's product description
The MINUTEMAN Continuous Power Series brings unparalleled power protection and true on-line double-conversion topology to mission critical applications. Protected equipment is constantly supplied with regulated and conditioned power, ensuring optimum system performance, and providing protection from all commercial power problems that can cause costly equipment repairs and loss of valuable data. The MCP Series combines high reliability, low operating costs, and flexible manageability with a full set of features. The power factor correction circuitry attenuates Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the nominal AC line current to improve the quality and reliability of input power utility. The MINUTEMAN Continuous Power Series supplies a true sinewave output, as well as a DC start feature allowing the unit to provide start-up power even when AC power is not available. Designed for mid-sized computer networks, telecommunications systems and other sensitive electronic equipment, the MCP Series regulates voltage during brownout conditions without using the battery - even when input voltage drops as low as 27% below or as high as 22% above normal AC. This voltage regulation technology preserves battery power for when you need it - during complete blackout conditions. In addition, the Advanced Battery Management technology handles all battery functions, including charge status, thus preventing overcharging and increasing battery life and assuring battery reliability. The built-in microprocessor manages a variety of functions, including battery management, self-test facilities and front panel displays. Additionally, audible alarms sound for various fault conditions. Each unit in the MCP Series provides optional protection for use with a single or multi-line telephone, as well as protection for data lines. A wide variety of input and output receptacle options are also available on the MCP Series.
