My husband bought this two way radio set for his sister and her husband as a gift. We were so disappointed in the set.

Midland is an excellent brand and we had never had problems with their products before but it was our first experience with their brand and a two way radio. We currently own Motorola's .

The problem was it had very little range no matter how we tried to tweak it. The furtherest we were able to get out was about a mile and a half and that was on all clear terrain. There were no trees, buildings, houses or hills around.

Would I recommend this? Very doubtful, its a steep price to pay for something that works about as good as a child's toy does.
