Advantages: Excellent sound quality, great range Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet!
...heard good things about the Midland radios from some fellow cruise enthusiasts, and decided to give them a try.
They are by far the best set of radios we have used so far. We took them on our most recent cruise in February, and had great success with them. The sound is crisp and clear, and with all the sub-channels we never had a problem with cross-talk onboard the cruise ship. Even with all the metal on the ship, we had no trouble communicating ... ...The talk time on a battery charge was exceptional -- we would have our radios on from morning 'til night, and never went below two or three bars. Then we would just pop them into the included charger, and they would be set to go again the next morning.
They have a sturdy build, and easy-to-use features. I recommend these radios to anyone! ...

Advantages: Still thinking on that one........... Disadvantages: not a lot of range
...in the set. Midland is an excellent brand and we had never had problems with their products before but it was our first experience with their brand and a two way radio. We currently own Motorola's .
The problem was it had very little range no matter how we tried to tweak it. The furtherest we were able to get out was about a mile and a half and that was on all clear terrain. There were no trees, buildings, houses or hills around. Would I recommend ...
