Advantages: sleek design and low price Disadvantages: none
...a new owner of the Microsoft Wired Keyboard 500. I spilled coffee on my other one and wanted to get something cheap just in case the keyboard decided to drink my coffee again. Mine however did not come with a mouse. I guess you can buy a combo set but I didn't see one offered at the time of my purchase and was not interested in one anyway.
As far as keyboards go its attractive and stylish. Its keys are not too sensitive to the touch, (which for ... ...beat the door down so to speak to get accurate keystrokes. It has a media center, allowing you to just use the buttons at the top to control your media activities. It also has email and internet hot keys.
Another plus, for me at least, is that it comes in a spill resistant design. It has water channels that drain the liquid away.
So for the price you get a standard wired keyboard with a few bells and whistles but works great and looks very stylish! ...

Advantages Very cheap. Durable. Disadvantages Not that stylish
...Here is a review of an inexpensive, durable and easy to use keyboard. It is called the Microsoft Internet Keyboard. It can be purchased from www.ebuyer.com for £8.44 plus postage. It comes in various colours, white, black, grey. The one I have is black.
This is what I would call a traditional keyboard. It is very hard-wearing and the keys are removeable for cleaning. It doesn't have the ultra-soft feel of some keyboards, but is extremely nice once you get used to it. I think it would last many years.
As it is produced by Microsoft a lot of the keys are very geared towards their operating systems. For example there are keys to directly access:
My Computer
Calculator
Start
There are also (hot) keys for sleep, back, forward, stop, mail, search, favorites and web/home
My system is Linux so I don't use them, although...

Advantages Excellent key action, well spaced, cheap for how good it is Disadvantages Internet buttoms are more a gimmick than anything else
...I bought this keyboard a good number of years ago, for the simple reason that it was the cheapest Microsoftkeyboard available. My friend had an original Microsoft Natural keyboard and I was impressed with it, but not the cost, so I went for this one.
It hasnt disappointed. The typing action is excellent, allowing you to touch type with no problems. I hadnt realised quite how good it was untill I returned to University this year and began using there standard generic keyboards, almost every other letter was a mistake the typing action was so bad.
The internet buttons work, but are really completely useless, more a gimmick. Its usually faster to use the mouse and keep looking at the screen than look down and find the right key. I do occasionally use the calculator button, I think this is because when doing financial stuff...

Advantages Smooth face, niece feels, shortcut keys Disadvantages the name "Microsoft"- but don't let that put you off!
...Microsoft the worlds most popular software writing company for the home computer has developed a throughly recommeneded keyboard. Most of Microsofts' software crashes'and is unreliable, it is not to be trusted although it has, Windows, the worlds most popular os. On top of there software they have a range of hardware input products these include mice, keyboards, games pads, steering wheel etc. Their Microsoft Internet keyboard is exceptionally good, it makes typing faster and easy. The wrest which is privided it very helpful and has a curved face which feels good.
To make it "interent" they have stuck a few shortcut keys near the top of the keyboard, fantastic!
It is so good, that my dad has bought one for the office and we have bought another one at home for are other PC!...
