- Made these a time or two for a bridal shower, and as a snack for the kids. We ate them till they made us "sick". Very good to eat, maybe not so good if you are watching fats.**Sausage and cheese balls** First you need some items-
>Roll of Sausage(pork, bee, vegetarian, etc.)
>Shredded cheddar cheese(Sharp, extra sharp, or mexican, etc.)
>flour(all purpose) around one cup
> one tablespoon water
>one whisked eggDirections are-
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Shape mixture into small balls(around one to two inch) in size. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees, place on greased sheet pan, bake for around 20 minutes. *Depending on how brown you want them to get.
Let cool and eat. Yummy There are variations...
You can use any kind of ground meat, in place of sausage.
Also you can add onions(chopped or minced) to the mixture.
Some choices of sauces to serve with are----
Sour cream, tomatoe based sauces, *cream cheese and onion dip-(mix cream cheese block with minced onions, salt and pepper.)Suggestions -
If you are needing a sports party snack, or a wedding buffet/shower,or baby showers, also church gatherings, etc.
