Advantages: Great online play and voice overs Disadvantages: Graphics could be better
Mario Kart Wii is the latest installment to the Mario Kart series and the first installment on the Wii. The game comes with the new Wii Wheel, which is to give a more realistic steering experience. If you prefer not to use that, you may still use the Classic or GameCube controller to play.

Like previous Mario Karts, players may use items ... ...16 Retro courses from past Mario Kart games (Excluding only the arcade installments). There will be some courses you love, and as well as "those" courses which you will not be able to stand playing a race on.
The music is the game, like the other installments, is pretty good. The game has its memorable tracks, but I wouldn't say it's the best soundtrack in the world. But the game does a great job when it comes to the voices of the characters. The ...

So Much Fun! Review ofMario Kart Wii for Wiiby

Advantages: Feels Like a Real Go-Kart, Great Graphics, Fun Multiplayer Mode Disadvantages: Pirce
...up to this point, but Mario Kart blows all of them away by far. When I was growing up I bought Mario Kart for Nintendo 64 and loved it! I spent hours upon hours playing this game during the summer. This new Wii version of Mario Kart brings back all of the fun N64 memories. With this game, you can either play the system or you can play another player in multiplayer mode. This game comes with a steering wheel and the movements that you make to play ...

Advantages: Lots of character, vehicle, and track options Disadvantages: Wheel is tough to drive with
...game! I have played Mario Kart on N64 and the DS, and the Wii version is far ahead of these. I love the option of being able to drive a bike or a cart, and this adds even more variety to a game that already has a lot. There are lots of good options for characters and carts, and you can unlock even more options for both of these. The tracks are a lot of fun, and offer some new challenges and interesting things. I also like the ability to perform tricks, ... ...The only negative about this game, in my opinion, is the Wii wheel that comes with the game. I tried it for a few races, and eventually gave up using it becuase it doesn't seem to have the control that I need. Neither my husband or I have been able to use the wheel as successfully as just using the nunchuck to steer with. It doesn't seem to be responsive enough when you try to turn. Overall though, it's a great game and lots of fun! ...

Advantages: Great Controls, Nice Graphics, Cool Effects Disadvantages: None
Mario Kart Wii is loads of fun. The hardest part of this game for me was finding it. It was sold out in almost every store I went to. Luckily, I found a Target that still had one in stock!!
My kids and I have a blast playing Mario Kart Wii. Although I, being an old school Mario Kart fanatic, found controlling the game with a steering wheel a bit odd at first, I quickly gained a new appreciation for the whole concept. I remember the days when I would ... ...controller. Now, I can not look weird doing it!!
My favorite part of the game is the quick response while using the wheel. I almost forget that I am playing a game after a while! The graphics are smooth and not too over the top. When my surround sound is cranked up, I can enjoy theater quality sounds. I was suprised that the sound effects weren't annoying....not even in the least bit!
I love that my 4 year old son can play and not be totally lost. ...

Mario Kart Review ofMario Kart Wii for Wiiby
YensidSrevol
Advantages: easy for all ages to play Disadvantages: hard to play with another person
I really enjoyed playing this game. It's not overly hard nor is it easy, it seems like it's just right! My favorite part of the grand prix race was in the Coconut mall.....I felt like I was really in a mall. On the mushroom circuit, it felt weird to be jumping via cart or bike to each mushroom, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy. The circuit or racetrack that wasn't easy was the one in the mine.....I kept falling off of the track so I ended ...

Advantages Online experience will last you until a better game Disadvantages Wii specific improvements are the exact opposite
...perfectly as the first site of this leap forwards as it meant you could play MK on-the-go. This leads us on to the release of the sixth MarioKart title, simply known as MarioKartWii. With the progressions made, online play was a must, but there is also the much needed discussion on how the title would fit in with the Wii's new unique control system. To make up for Nintendo's slow progress in getting a release date for its Mario-based fighting venture, 'Super Smash Bros Brawl', they treated us to an early European release -- whilst America shall have to wait until the end of April -- although is MK Wii really a worthy title to be fobbed off with until Brawl?

Advantages Fun, great replay value. Disadvantages No Paratroopa.
...What is MarioKart?
MarioKart is a racing game using characters from the Super Mario Bros series. Unlike most other racing games, MarioKart uses items to make the racing more interesting.
The Predecessors
MarioKart started life on the SNES console in 1992 with Super MarioKart. The game had 20 tracks over 4 cups, each with 5 tracks. Players have to unlock the "Special Cup" by beating the Mushroom Cup, Star Cup and Flower Cup in 100CC Grand Prix mode.
The second MarioKart game to be released was MarioKart 64 on the Nintendo 64. It was released in 1996, and was made available on the Wii's Virtual Console in 2007. This game had only 16 tracks, all of which were available from the start. As with Super MarioKart, the cups were called Mushroom Cup, Star Cup, Flower Cup and Special Cup.
The third MarioKart game...

Advantages Steering Wheel, 2 Player Online Disadvantages No Unique Player Items, No 2 Player Grand Prix
...Finally, MarioKart comes to Wii and with it launches Nintendo's most well known character into the next generation of MarioKart.
With the advancement to the Wii console, the most obvious change is the fact that instead of a controller, the Wii Remote is now used inside a Steering Wheel to fully utilise the Wii's motion control and although this can take time to get used to, it really enhances your driving experience once you're used to it.
On this new game, the usual layout is the same, 3 difficulty levels, with 8 grand prix's in each, upon finishing each grand prix with 1st position, a prize is usually awarded, either a new character, grand prix or kart. However, there is also a difference with the introduction of motorcycles
50cc: Karts Only
100cc: Bikes Only
150cc: Karts and Bikes
Upon finishing one difficulty level...

...My Wii friends recently bought MarioKart for Wii but we still didn't have a chance to test it altogether. However, before they bought it, when we only could dream of the moment we will test this legendary game with the Wii features, we enjoyed very fun nights playing MarioKart 64 on Wii. It was the ancient video game for the Nintendo 64 station you could use on the Wii.
For MarioKart 64, and for all ancient Nintendo 64 games available on Wii, the Wiimote and Nunchuk are useless: you play with the basic joystick. This one is not sold with the Wii, but you'd rather buy it if you want to play ancient games or small games that often used it. The Wii joystick is basic but however evolved, for there is many buttons. I first thought I will be lost among the buttons within the first seconds of the game, as it is always the case thanks...

Advantages: Brilliant for virtual console games and works great Disadvantages: no rumble and if you own no virtual console games a bit of a waste
...The classic controller is a different controller for the wii. Unfortunatly it has no rumble unlike a gamecube controller however this official controller is perfect for Virtual console games (internet is required to download them) and on some games there is a contol scheme for the classic controller and sometimes makes the gameplay better.
some examples of these games are: mariokartwii and super smash bros brawl. It handily attaches to a wii remote so no extra batteries are needed for the classic controller. If you have any virtual console games some can only be conrtolled using a classic controller and those games are some of the best. I highly reccommend it for people who own virtual console games however if not it seems a little bit of a waste. If intended to play it on compatible games I suggest to get it but if for no specific...

Advantages: Great physics based gameplay, many various modes of play, multiplayer is superb Disadvantages: No online play, single player could be better
...Boom Blox has become my favorite multiplayer game for the Wii. If you have friends that are not great at playing Smash Bros or MarioKartWii, this is absolutely the game for you. There are many modes of play from shooting objects on screen to pulling blocks Jenga style to throwing bowling balls at other players' castles. There are many levels included with the game but there is also a robust level editor that allows you to create your own levels and play them with your friends. The amazing thing about this game is the fact that you will pick it up and say "This is ok..." Then 4 hours later you will realize how long you have been playing. The game does a very good job with handling physics and judging the power of your throws. This becomes a strategy element that will have you doing different things to acheive different results. You may...
