I have this software for update my garmin mapsource.
I used this MapSource for calculate Point to Point between BTS (Base Transceiver Station) A to B (Point to Point) sometimes for Point to Mulitpoint.
I try to calculate altitude, waypoint and route. But for finishing touch I always use Google Earth for visualisation land mark.
And this MapSource compatible with Google Earth. Just clik VIEW menu at the Menu Bar and then click View in Google Earh
And for colect data from GPS its very easy, you just clik TRANSFER menu at the menu Bar and click Transfer from Device. Very very easy like you count one - two - three.
Another value from this software you can manage waypoint and route by category.
But for Indonesia, some of the map region is very difficult to get.
