My step daughter has used this kind of ipod from a friend. She said it was so cool to have. It is light and can be placed inside your pocket but is very easy to break if you drop it on the ground. She never had any problems out of it when she borrowed it. She said it played the music really nice and clear. It was also loud enough. She said the volume goes up pretty loud as well.
