I finally got to the point where I wanted to get rid of all of my old CD's, and have my entire collection in one spot. The iPod Classic 160 GB has been absolutely wonderful for me. PROS - Huge amount of space, allowing you to fit your entire music collection, along with a great number of videos. - Great features including the Calendar, Games, and the ability to scroll through all your album covers. - Great resolution on the video screen. CONS ...
...a bit sluggish - Have to be very careful on what accessories you purchase for it, as many won't be compatible. - Games have a tendency to run slowly and lag just a bit. I bought this iPod over a year ago with my Christmas money, and it's still going strong. It holds all of my music (20+GB) with no problems, plus a few TV shows and movies that I've bought from iTunes or converted on my PC. I also use what's left (over half) as an additional external hard drive, which was very useful for backing up important data when my computer was dying. If you do go scrolling, however, it will start going rapidly through the alphabet on your artists or songs so you can get to where you're going quicker. I bought this primarily because it has a built in fm tuner. For some reason it seemed really galing to me that other brands had the nerve to make us get an attachment to listen to the radio. My step daughter has used this kind of ipod from a friend. She said it was so cool to have. It is light and can be placed inside your pocket but is very easy to break if you drop it on the ground.
