Life

What is life? Is an age old question.
How did it begin? Where will it end?
There is so much I could say,
I will not demean it in any way.
Life is abundant, life is free.
Life is here for you and me.
I wish I could hold on to it, till all is said and done.
But then it would not be free anymore.
What makes life special is people , places , and things.
I have them all, and they can be re-arranged.
We all have it and some abuse it.
While others don't even know how to use it.
I know how it starts, and how it seems to end,
the rules on this cannot even bend.
If you were given a choice today,
to create a life or waste it away,
what would you do or would you say?
If you could keep life going for a friend,
could you change and let them go in the end?
I often have thought,"Oh blessed day",
and I have enjoyed life in almost every way.
There is a time in ones life when they are measured
will they be counted or fall short?
Will their task overtake them, or will they conquer it.
Life is what you make out of it.
If you take it for granted, just one little bit,
you might not see the end of a day, or
know what part you were to play, in this thing called
LIFE!
