...to let you know is Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 ED lens is very cheap. I am using this lens for about six months, I am very much satisfied with its performance, the picture quality of nikon 70-300 mm - f/4.0-5.6 D ED was somewhat better than the previous version of nikon 70-300 which doesn't have Ed elements. When this is used with Digital SLR it provides an equivalent field of view of 105 - 450 mm, it will be a better option for sports and wildlife photography,

...now constantly attached to my Nikon D40x. Here's a list of things l like about it.
Pros

- excellent VR (image stabilisation) which is useful for being zoomed in and handheld shots in low light
- fast and silent auto-focus
- well built solid, reliable
- I haven't experienced lens-creep
Cons

Advantages: compact, all around lense, durable Disadvantages: a bit heavy
CANON 28- 135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. this is one of the "good buys" or worth buyng in lenses. it is compact, not too big, and it has Image Stabilizer (IS) and with its use, you can obtain sharp images at night and low availability of light or in places where flashes are not allowed even without the use of a tripod. it is excellent to consider as "carry around" lense and outdeoor lense too. i must say that this is one of the lenses that i will be keeping ... ...used as an all around lense. i have used it so many of my shots including in weddings, documentation purposes, landscape and press releases. it is a zoom lense so you can have a clear shot from a certain distance.
