Review of Nikon Zoom-Nikkor zoom lens - 18 mm - 200 mm - Nikon F by klashar

Advantages: Huge focal range, excellent VR, great quality
Disadvantages: Heavy, expensive

...now constantly attached to my Nikon D40x. Here's a list of things l like about it. Pros - on the whole, excellent picture quality - 11.1X optical zoom, that's a lot - excellent VR (image stabilisation) which is useful for being zoomed in and handheld shots in low light - fast and silent auto-focus - well built solid, reliable - I haven't experienced lens-creep Cons - heavy. ...likes light. Low light when zoomed in sends the light-meter hayware doing dusk shots. To get around this I just take a shot and review it on the display, or switch to raw to be able to fix the image afterwards. - loses some sharpness at long focal lengths. Advantages: compact, all around lense, durable
Disadvantages: a bit heavy

CANON 28- 135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. this is one of the "good buys" or worth buyng in lenses. it is compact, not too big, and it has Image Stabilizer (IS) and with its use, you can obtain sharp images at night and low availability of light or in places where flashes are not allowed even without the use of a tripod. it is excellent to consider as "carry around" lense and outdeoor lense too. i must say that this is one of the lenses that i will be keeping ...
