I bought this Dell laptop for school. I really injoy my laptop. It is really all I thought it to be, but I don't like that it didn't come with a better user guide book. The book it came with doesn't really help you out in some area. As far as the laptop it self, it is great, I feel that for a school laptop this one was the best choice I could have found. I am greatful for the customer service at Best Buy were I got the laptop for pointing this one ...

Advantages: easy to work with when new Disadvantages: Bulky and heavy
When new the Dell Latitude D600 is very faster and fun to work, it's ability to work off line when power goes off is good but this only work when this laptop is still in good condition, the other bit of the Dell laptop is that it's heavy and bulky and some improvements needs to be done on it. Advantages: Portable and powerful Disadvantages: Display is not high-end
My IT department issued a Dell D630 to me on November 2007 as my travel / business computer and I have been very impressed with it's performance since.
First, a disclosure: I have a strong computer support background so I can probably be considered an "experienced" or "expert" user. Given that background, I can deal or fix almost any technical problem that arises and this certainly has skewed my review to the positive. Having said that, here goes:

The visible exterior has a deep glossy black surface .The back of the lid has two clear plastic windowed areas on the sides have a color background that is illuminated by the LED lights.
