My Acer Extensa 4620
Review of Acer Extensa 4620 by SydneyHazelton

Advantages: wide screen, soft keypad, in-built WI-FI
Disadvantages: not fantastic performance

I have been using the Acer Extensa 4630 since November 2007 and it has served me well. What I enjoy most about this laptop is the keypad which is soft and comfortable to type. I type a lot on the computer for my work and thus I need to have a laptop with buttons that reposnd to a soft touch. I also love the 14.1 inch wide screen. It can support Windows Vista as well. Once fully charged, you can use the laptop for the next two hours. Apparently, Acer ...
...SOHO users. It is simple to operate and slick in design. I also love it in-built WIFI connectivity. I chose to buy this laptop because it was one of the cheaper ones in the market, which still has quite good specifications. There is probably just one setback. Its performance may not be fantastic. I do experience a little slow when starting up and take about two minutes for my desktop to fully load up. Other than that, it is performing well for me. ... Read review

Acer Ferrari 1000
Review of Acer Ferrari 1000 by ik4man

Advantages: Multimedia capabilities
Disadvantages: a separate CD player, a poor long-life battery

Acer Ferrari 1000 is a combination of performance and style. it is a light weight notebook you can proud of. This device is one of the best device i ever owned, that build-up with the latest advances in wireless connectivity and attractive multimedia capabilities. These are the thing i love about this device: 1.Back-up by AMD Turion 64x2 dual-Core Mobile Technology and ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics, you can say it's worth for the money as it's ...
...as having face to face conversation. 5.The availability of 3 USB ports make our work more easy and faster than ever. 6.At last but not least, the presence of Acer GraviSense added to the security measures in Acer Ferrari 1000 thus complete the good features in it. ... Read review

Review of Sony VAIO NR498 by rajakrsnan

Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Expensive

I like Sony Vaio for its cool looks. Sony Vaio is a fashion statement. I fell in love with it the moment i saw. I personaly use another brand but always carry a wish that one day i will lay my hands on a Vaio. The configuration is ok for me. Higher memory of 3Gb to 4GB is always preferable. my personal pereferance is for 4GB Ram which is ideal for todays operating systems. 250Gb HDD is ideal for stuffing as much into it. 5Hrs battery run time is ... Intel Atom for the Lenovo Ideapad
Review of Lenovo IdeaPad S10 Intel Atom Processor Speed: 1.6 by certifiedblogaholic

Advantages: Excellent speed for a netbook
Disadvantages: Still heats up the laptop in an hour

Lenovo recently entered the netbook market with the Ideapad S10. It uses the latest Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor used by the earlier-released netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, and Asus Eee PC 901. Compared to my Asus Eee 4G with an Intel Celeron 900 MHz, the speed and performance of the Intel Atom accelerated dramatically. The first time I turned it on, Windows start-up was approximately just under 30 seconds. I hadn't expected a netbook to be this ...
...fast as the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. But then again, for a gadget this small, it was satisfactory. Lenovo's Intel Atom exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. Considering the $439 price tag, it is definitely good value for a portable laptop. If only it can perform without causing the laptop to heat up too much in a short time, it may spell doom for regular-sized laptops. ... Read review

Asus Eee PC 1000 Intel Atom
Review of Asus Eee PC 1000 Intel Atom by sanderman

Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: not maded for games

This notebook is good to have, it's very compact, you can use it for light things, like office, it isn't made for big games because the hardware of this Notebook is not made for that. The mark of the processor is intel, so that's very good, because intel is always good. You got 512 KB Cach memory and 1024 normal memory. YOu also got 160 GB Flash HD, that's very good, because the risc you lose data at a flash HD is very low. This notebook uses Windows ... Read review
