This is a very nice laptop that is very useful.
It has a 2gb harddrive and you can actually purchace it in different screen sizes. It is very easy to use. The keyboard fits up underneath your hands smoothly. Some great advantages that it has is the graphics. The screen comes in nice and clear with bright color graphics. It also has that new program called vista on it. Which it has so many new and different things that you can do on it.
It also ... ...use when you have a wireless adapter too. It comes with a cd burner, so you can back up your files or put your documents on for you to save for later.
It is very useful for people who are in college like myself to use. It is so realible that I am very happy that I bought it. ...

Advantages: Price, performance, hardware Disadvantages: The battery!
Acer Aspire 3050 is categorized in the low price end of laptops. It's hard to find a laptop which is cheaper and still performs as well as this machine. The laptop comes with an AMD Mobile Sempron 3400+ 1.8 GHz processor, which is quiet okay. This pc isn't recommended for those of you who play a lot of computer games, but to those of you who mostly uses your laptop to work and surfing on the internet I would gladly recommend this one. Acer Aspire 3050 comes with a RW DVD drive, a 14.1" TFT active WXGA monitor (1280x800) and build in wireless LAN, so that you can connect to a wireless internet device. Where this Aspire really disappoints me, is when we talk about the battery it comes with. The battery doesn't live more than about 1.5 hour, which is really irritating. Advantages: Handy & Hig Speed Disadvantages: not from now
DELL INSPIRON 1525
I have a friend owned a DELL INSPIRON 1525 since January 2008 and I think it is fantastic as we go along making some programs, web, codes, etc... As of this moment our business here is so nice using this laptop, it's very comfortable, handy, easy to used... The keyboard is so touchy and smooth, the reactive mouse is really fantastic, excellent in making programs and a great help for game playing.. My other teammates had scolded ... ...his girlfriend, he's played game along with us using this laptop.
I have a friends with different laptops, sounds so noisy and a little bit louder. I love this casing, just like a standard color.. I love this very much no other laptops to compare as of this moment.
