Advantages: light weight, easy to bring around Disadvantages: slow speed
This Toshiba Portege R500-S5004 is quite a low end laptop. It is integrated with Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 / 1.2 GHz processor, making the speed quite slow, but thanks God is a core 2 duo. it have hard drive of 160GB 5400rpm SATA, which is quite standard hard disk space nowadays, and is enough to store all my files and document at the moment. I will be buying a new hard disk soon, I guess, is going to be full real soon.

Though its small compared to other laptops, the M300 still manages to be reliably strong. Security wise, this laptop automatically shuts down when it is going to a free-fall. It is because of its 60Gb hard drive that has a sensor - specialized to protect your data. I like Sony Vaio for its cool looks. Sony Vaio is a fashion statement. I fell in love with it the moment i saw. I personaly use another brand but always carry a wish that one day i will lay my hands on a Vaio. The configuration is ok for me. Advantages: Excellent speed for a netbook Disadvantages: Still heats up the laptop in an hour
Lenovo recently entered the netbook market with the Ideapad S10. It uses the latest Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor used by the earlier-released netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, and Asus Eee PC 901.
Compared to my Asus Eee 4G with an Intel Celeron 900 MHz, the speed and performance of the Intel Atom accelerated dramatically. The first time I turned it on, Windows start-up was approximately just under 30 seconds. I hadn't expected a netbook to be this ... ...fast as the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. But then again, for a gadget this small, it was satisfactory.
Lenovo's Intel Atom exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. Considering the $439 price tag, it is definitely good value for a portable laptop. If only it can perform without causing the laptop to heat up too much in a short time, it may spell doom for regular-sized laptops. ...
