Very good value for your money
Review of Toshiba Satellite P200 by Goalkeeper06

Advantages: Performance, screen resolution, value for money
Disadvantages: Glossy top prone to scratching

The Toshiba Satelite is an excellent laptop and also a great value for its price. It comes with everything you need you can imagine. I particularly like the large 17 inch screen which has excellent clarity, even in bright light and the modern and professional look and feel that Toshiba seemed to have grasped when designing this baby. It is also surprisingly portable for a desktop replacement and actually weighs the same as many 15.4 inch laptops ...
...your lap. The speakers are also fine for every day use, whilst the built in web cam and bluetooth capabilities are real bonuses. I also like the fact that the fans and heat ducts on the side rather than underneath allowing for air flow even when resting on your lap. The only slight disadvantage is the outside top is prone to scratching and marking, even in a purpose built carrying case. I have overcome this by placing it into the case upside down ... Sony Vaio VGN-CR490 - Laptops
Review of Sony Vaio VGN-CR490 by writer_princess

Advantages: great features
Disadvantages: expensive

Pros This is a high-end model that banks on being a Vaio to be this beautiful and professional looking. Not only is the outside professional looking but the inside is superb that it is perfect for those who have a passion for the best. The processor is already that of an Intel core 2 Duo T8300 - those who are not good at processor technologies should understand that a T8300 is a really good processor. It is in Centrino which is far better than ...
...- that is a really big one! Like most new models, this one has a DVD-RW drive plus slots for media cards plus wireless internet connectivity plus bluetooth technology. The monitor is 14 inches of clear LCD-type screen. The audio capability is good with Realtek Audio technology. It also comes with Windows Vista which is capable of maximizing the features of your laptop. Cons This is too expensive for the average buyer who are looking for a laptop ... Read review

HP Pavilion Dv6910us Entertainment
Review of HP Pavilion Dv6910us Entertainment by tysin

Advantages: wotks fast and it is slim when you take a travel
Disadvantages: None

...accident, I ran across the HP DV6910US laptop at a local Staples store, where the manager couldn't say enough good about it. Not one to take a salesman at his word, I decided to research the HP unit and compare specs with some of the other laptops I had been considering. The HP DV6910US runs the 2 GHz AMD Turion TL-60 Dual Core processor, a 200GB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive and 3MB of DDR2 system memory. In the under $750 price range, those specs are ...
...unbeatable machine. The HP DV6910US powers up in well under a minute and shuts down in seconds. I run some pretty intense programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, and have been extremely impressed with it's performance. Pictures open quickly and edits take place in milliseconds. Other programs, such as Open Office open very quickly as well. Extreme gamers might want a little more performance, but this laptop is perfect for my needs. This is my first experience ...
