Good mid-range Laptop.
Review of Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 by cvk_86

Advantages: Sturdy and Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Well angles of viewing.

Lenovo weighing 6-pounds is a consumer level laptop, mid-range. Not that expensive around $600. The keypad is similar to that of the Thinkpad keyboards, almost the same. Provides more room for touch pad and its scrolling features. There is something about this Laptop that comes only with business laptops, the finger print scanner. The Speakers of the Laptop are not that special. Do not provide impressive bass at all. Good enough for games and music ...
...and not to forget nVidia Ge Force Go 7300, 256 MB dedicated memory. This configuration is more than just enough for my kind of gaming. Light and average kind of gaming just for passing time and relaxing, I think this is enough for the graphics to be taken care of. Well the heat is controlled very well. The fan the otherwise irritating noise is slow. Speeds up only when temperature increases. The battery and power management can be tricky. It does ... Read review

Decent Laptop
Review of Lenovo ThinkPad T40 by critical_consumer

Advantages: Light, thin
Disadvantages: Third Party parts may not be of the best quality

I bought this laptop because my dental school decided this was the laptop everybody was going to use. The laptop is light and sturdy. I commuted to school with my laptop in my backpack everyday. For obvious reasons, this was not good for the laptop. There must have a been a few times, when the laptop was still powered on. Because by the second year my laptop started to have problems, turns out that my disk was scratched due to "moving the computer ...
...so they fixed it. Then the hard drive failed again, a couple months after that, not sure why since I always powered down the computer before getting on my bike. The second thing that gave me problems was the CD drive. Not sure what the deal with it is. But it stopped reading and writing. Well, it first stopped writing, which was not a big deal. But then it stopped reading. I brought it in to the school repair shop and they replaced it. Another year ... Read review

Cheap, functional, and good-working laptop
Review of Acer Aspire 3050 by suhm

Advantages: Price, performance, hardware
Disadvantages: The battery!

Acer Aspire 3050 is categorized in the low price end of laptops. It's hard to find a laptop which is cheaper and still performs as well as this machine. The laptop comes with an AMD Mobile Sempron 3400+ 1.8 GHz processor, which is quiet okay. This pc isn't recommended for those of you who play a lot of computer games, but to those of you who mostly uses your laptop to work and surfing on the internet I would gladly recommend this one. The size of ...
...nice I think. Acer Aspire 3050 comes with a RW DVD drive, a 14.1" TFT active WXGA monitor (1280x800) and build in wireless LAN, so that you can connect to a wireless internet device. Where this Aspire really disappoints me, is when we talk about the battery it comes with. The battery doesn't live more than about 1.5 hour, which is really irritating. Overall a very nice laptop for a very small amount of money! ... Read review
