badromeo417
Advantages: ideal for personal use...
Disadvantages: its design
life is bust, acer makes it easy...hahaha!! very true indeed..i needed a laptop very badly as i growing tired of my desktop..acer powered by intel was one of the options in my mind..i went for acer aspire 5315-2077 as it suited my budget and is a true value for money.. with 160 hdd, 1 gb ram and a 1.86 ghz processor, this is ideal for personal use.great laptop, very fast and stable....good screen(15 inches), good speakers, dvd burner available..working ... ...work then...it has a GMA card..but i guess there are versions available in the market of HP at the same cost providing webcam and other features as bought by my friend recently...but it doesnt make a difference cause the experience with acer is good....no problems till now...im pretty satisfied ...

Acer 4520 Laptop
Review of Acer Aspire 4520 by
Dngbat
Advantages: Portability , and The size of laptop
Disadvantages: The heat that it puts out while in use on your lap
I own an Acer 4520 laptop I bought it last year for the whole family beacuse the desktop was too big , bulky , in the way , and was very old. The Acer laptop is easier beacuse of the portability , it is not too big nor too heavy for your lap , you can add a external mouse and a printer , so why would you need a desktop. The functions are very user friendly , virtually any age from young to old can use this model. I make CDs with pictures on them ... ...when my sister comes over she uses it , my son's use it for school work also to go on Ebay. I would recomend this laptop for families where all members need the use of a computer. A big advantage is the use of a router because you are more mobil. This laptop features gadgets on the side of the desktop they let you place the weather , time , date , a sticky note , and many others. This is a handy feature when you have family in other states. ...

Review of Sony VAIO NR498 by
rajakrsnan
Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Expensive
I like Sony Vaio for its cool looks. Sony Vaio is a fashion statement. I fell in love with it the moment i saw. I personaly use another brand but always carry a wish that one day i will lay my hands on a Vaio. The configuration is ok for me. Higher memory of 3Gb to 4GB is always preferable. my personal pereferance is for 4GB Ram which is ideal for todays operating systems. 250Gb HDD is ideal for stuffing as much into it. 5Hrs battery run time is ...

Intel Atom for the Lenovo Ideapad
Review of Lenovo IdeaPad S10 Intel Atom Processor Speed: 1.6 by
certifiedblogaholic
Advantages: Excellent speed for a netbook
Disadvantages: Still heats up the laptop in an hour
Lenovo recently entered the netbook market with the Ideapad S10. It uses the latest Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor used by the earlier-released netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, and Asus Eee PC 901.
Compared to my Asus Eee 4G with an Intel Celeron 900 MHz, the speed and performance of the Intel Atom accelerated dramatically. The first time I turned it on, Windows start-up was approximately just under 30 seconds. I hadn't expected a netbook to be this ... ...fast as the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. But then again, for a gadget this small, it was satisfactory.
Lenovo's Intel Atom exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. Considering the $439 price tag, it is definitely good value for a portable laptop. If only it can perform without causing the laptop to heat up too much in a short time, it may spell doom for regular-sized laptops. ...

Asus Eee PC 1000 Intel Atom
Review of Asus Eee PC 1000 Intel Atom by
sanderman
Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: not maded for games
This notebook is good to have, it's very compact, you can use it for light things, like office, it isn't made for big games because the hardware of this Notebook is not made for that. The mark of the processor is intel, so that's very good, because intel is always good. You got 512 KB Cach memory and 1024 normal memory. YOu also got 160 GB Flash HD, that's very good, because the risc you lose data at a flash HD is very low. This notebook uses Windows ...
