Advantages: Thin, light, tightly built Disadvantages: Very poor screen that malkes this laptop useless.
...in my life. HP support replaced the screen - same thing. The problem is with the screen - not with the driver or graphics card. This laptop has "the best" 17" WUXGA anti-glare non-glossy display HP has to offer + NVIDIA Quadro 1600 graphics card with 512MB memory. Tried several drivers - same horrible quality. When attached to external monitor looks fine. But if I have to have an external monitor, - why use laptop? This is especially frustrating ... ...this laptop is touted by HP as ideal for 2D/3D graphics design and modeling. Nothing could be further from the truth.
This is simply false advertisement on HP part.

...my gadget runing fastest. The Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-EZ1004X bundled with 200GB of serial ATA hard disk. I feel this is not big enough space for my video project. So, I am upgrading my hard disk to 750 GB. Wonderful! My notebook runing faster. The Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-EZ1004X build in card reader that supported most popular flash memory card type. Any other features are satisficated, except the modem. The modem only has about 50 kbps transfer rate. So, I have to spend more money to buy an external modem.

I really like this laptop , it has a nice big screen making it easier for reading things on the internet and typing up your documents or article. So this laptop is good for those who don't have perfect eyesight because of the nice big screen, the battery on this laptop last a good two hours. it is quite heavy and can get quite hot so i don't recommend leaving it on any longer then a hour.
