Advantages: Speed, memory Disadvantages: heating system, not stylish, heavy
Toshiba Satellite is an average laptop not reccomended for people looking forward to buy something hitch free, smooth , fresh and exciting for their everyday work experience. For students especially, it is not recommended. There are various reasons I will outline for it below.
First, it is bulky and too heavy for my liking. As someone who has to commute frequently from home to University very often and that too on public transport, carrying it along ... ...in taking laptops to lectures, it is especially not worthwhile since carrying it around occupies alot of space normally reserved for books. Second, it has this heating system which often shuts the Laptop down when one watches videos on surfaces such as cloth, sheets etc. Where other laptops work efficiently, its heating system closes the laptop down.
Third, if dust clogs the fans after use for sometime, it becomes almost impossible to work since ...

Advantages: Affordable, good enough to do your daily works Disadvantages: Low capacity of hard drive, low RAM, low CPU
My brother bought Toshiba Satellite L10-101 3 years ago. We haven't had any problem with it. Not a great technology but it does its work.
He is a computer engineering student and he generally uses his computer for his studies. We also use it to download and watch films, play games and do everything that we do on my desktop computer.
If you are looking for an affordable lap-top for your work or for internet, I can advice you Toshiba S. L10-101.
... ...I and my brother connected his lap-top and my desktop and created a Local Area Network. to play multiplayer games. We tried Warcraft 3 and Rise of Nations. They both worked great. Toshiba S L10-101 isn't produced to be a gaming machine but you can still enjoy the old games. ...

I like Sony Vaio for its cool looks. Sony Vaio is a fashion statement. I fell in love with it the moment i saw. I personaly use another brand but always carry a wish that one day i will lay my hands on a Vaio. The configuration is ok for me. Higher memory of 3Gb to 4GB is always preferable. my personal pereferance is for 4GB Ram which is ideal for todays operating systems. 250Gb HDD is ideal for stuffing as much into it. 5Hrs battery run time is ...

Advantages: Excellent speed for a netbook Disadvantages: Still heats up the laptop in an hour
Lenovo recently entered the netbook market with the Ideapad S10. It uses the latest Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor used by the earlier-released netbooks, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire, and Asus Eee PC 901.
Compared to my Asus Eee 4G with an Intel Celeron 900 MHz, the speed and performance of the Intel Atom accelerated dramatically. The first time I turned it on, Windows start-up was approximately just under 30 seconds. I hadn't expected a netbook to be this ... ...fast as the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. But then again, for a gadget this small, it was satisfactory.
Lenovo's Intel Atom exceeded my expectations in terms of speed. Considering the $439 price tag, it is definitely good value for a portable laptop. If only it can perform without causing the laptop to heat up too much in a short time, it may spell doom for regular-sized laptops. ...

Advantages: Good Disadvantages: not maded for games
This notebook is good to have, it's very compact, you can use it for light things, like office, it isn't made for big games because the hardware of this Notebook is not made for that. The mark of the processor is intel, so that's very good, because intel is always good. You got 512 KB Cach memory and 1024 normal memory. YOu also got 160 GB Flash HD, that's very good, because the risc you lose data at a flash HD is very low. This notebook uses Windows ...
